Story of the Gem
A ring which holds a very close place to my heart, she is the first ring I ever designed, the first stone I ever sourced and since 2010, she has lived on my finger every day. Only five of these stunning yellow topaz gemstones were hand cut to our specifications from the Pink City, Jaipur. This is what I love most about my job, travelling to the motherland of gems to source exquisite treasure and create magical jewellery from what I find.
Made for a very special client who finally said Yes to herself and bought herself this special limited edition ring. After having a really tough time, she decided to honour herself and her struggles through a beautiful piece of jewellery to make herself feel powerful and worthy.
“I haven’t really wanted anything for myself as much as I wanted The Canary Queen, it was like she kept calling me and all the time my logical brain told me it was inexcusably indulgent. I would absent-mindedly find myself looking at her, lusting like a five year old at Christmas.
Four years later after a deeply traumatic few years and she finally sits on my finger, a reminder that I survived such sadness and loss, a reminder that I am strong, resilient and how much I have grown.

Yellow Quartz Magic
I am a great believer that we gravitate to what we need. The colour yellow relates to self worth. How we feel about ourselves and feel we are perceived by others.
It is the colour of the Solar Plexus. Which also related to self-worth. Often if this is out of balance, we can attract an environment where we are not appreciated, valued or respected. We can also feel in 'lack’. Feeling we are not loved or enough as we are.
Yellow Quartz gemstone is a gem of self-worth. It’s a gem about stepping away from masculine energy and evolving into feminine energy. Like a blossoming flower, she attracts abundance in life, without having to actually move anywhere. She inherently knows she is beautiful and worthy of great things naturally coming to her.
Yellow quartz is a 'Seeker Transformer Crystal'. Something I recently discovered. Ultimately this means she is a rock about creating great change. Quartz, which has many colours is also known as the Number One Master Healing Stone.
Mainly because quartz is able to work with each energy chakra and will amplify energy and thought as well as the effect of other crystals. Quartz acts as a deep soul cleanser and harmonises all the chakras aligning the mental, emotional and spiritual body energies.
