This truly breathtaking power ring is finished with 1 carat of ruby and a beautiful 30. points, pink pear drop tourmaline in the nose.

When the snake sheds its skin, it temporarily goes blind in the process. This I find really interesting as its skin signifies a letting go of an old self. This is us. We all go through deep change at some point in our lives, and often this can feel terrifying. If you haven't heard of the 'dark night of the soul', look it up. It is a process of the alchemy of your soul. And once you are through the other side, the result is a shiny, new, powerful and beautiful You. Your 'new skin'. 

I specifically created this collection of snakes to mark, celebrate and symbolise my own dark night of the soul which went on for 22 years. I know. A deep, two-decade journey, of changing my life, soul, energy, mind, and heart. My journey took this long (although some might say short) as I was healing from complex trauma related to violence and sexual violence. My work is me, and I am my work. With every milestone won, I love to express my spiritual journey through symbols and the powers of gemstones, and ultimately what I call Spiritual Bling. Your jewellery is to be worn as a part of you. It is literally an extension of your beauty, power and strength, and there to remind you of it, daily. 

I deliberately chose champagne diamonds to express the imperfections of life but also the beauty we can simultaneously create from it. Ruby, to express and manifest courage to fight and win the battle, ultimately over ourselves and pink tourmaline to encourage my heart and soul to heal. 

What a journey it has been so far and such an honour, to be able to heal, do the work and create something beautiful from what seemed, at points, to be a never-ending struggle. Nothing great comes easy. No matter how 'blind' you may feel, you have a 100% got this. Everything is within you - the darkness AND the light. And the greater the darkness, the great the light.
