Rose Gold & Champagne Diamond Half Lotus Pendant

The Half Lotus Pendant. I absolutely adore this pendant. I especially made this design for my sister's 40th. A beautiful piece of understated bling for her special birthday. Cast in rose gold and set with a .30 carat champagne diamond, this half lotus pendant was inspired by the Buddhist principle 'the lotus blooms in the muddy swamp'.

In short - no mud, no bloom. The meaning of this is that we use the 'mud' of our lives to bring about our own, personal bloom. Our struggles are seen as the 'mud' that we are cleaning out of our lives, and although we may sometimes hate and begrudge those painful times of personal growth, within that mud – and that very and quite often grim journey - are the very nutrients we need to transform ourselves into the magnificent bloom of the louts flower. Winter always turns to spring. And what I find really encouraging is that the longer the winter, the greater the spring.

I chose a diamond as it's the hardest stone and therefore can handle the harshest winters.

Diamond in Greek is 'Adamas' which translates as 'invincible'. I always make jewellery with personal and powerful intentions.

I especially chose champagne diamonds to celebrate your ‘flawsomeness’. The beautiful flaws that make you, you. The scars of your life, the road maps of who you are today.
