From Caterpillar to Butterfly: Introducing my limited-edition collection from Bali, 2025.

The Guardian Whisperers Collection presents high-end, transformative jewellery as living art - a rare, deeply personal, aspirational experience where mastery of trauma, spiritual insight, and artistic vision converge, inviting the wearer to embody power, presence, and purpose.

Guardian Whisperers: 777 Prayers from the Unseen

This is a unique, hand-carved stone collection, with only 21 pieces in existence: 7 Archangel Michael wings, 7 Isis, 7 Quan Yin lotuses. This is not just jewellery - they are conduits of high-frequency energy and spiritual guidance. Every piece is a reminder: you’ve already transformed. You are the light that came from the dark. Together, these pieces tell a story of resilience, courage, and the possibility of alchemising pain into power.

These talismans are available by personal appointment only. In-person and online appointments are available. Book your one-on-one consultation to explore the stone and symbol which is calling to you: rosie@rosieodette.com

Divine Guidance

777 symbolises divine guidance - the stones, designs, and healing intentions aligned perfectly with their purpose and with your journey. It’s the universe whispering: even the suffering is exactly as it should be. In transforming our pain, we move closer to the light - our own light, the light of the Divine. That’s me, that’s you, that’s all of us. 777 is the number of spiritual awakening, heightened intuition, and divine alignment. It Beckons Guidance when you are in the void and invites you to trust yourself. It reminds us that the relationship we must nurture most is the one we have with ourselves.

Profound creation into being

Let me tell you how these pieces came to being and the profound journey behind them. It has been a lifelong dream to work alongside Balinese artisans and carve my first-ever stone collection. I come alive on adventures like this, especially on a gem hunt, hand-carving crystal pendants. I knew this collection had to be birthed from my mud - the unknown, the void. I work like this: I process something deeply, then I birth it into art. So it was no surprise that Bali tested me from the moment I landed on her shores.

The call of the stones

I have been seeking to meet the Balinese stone carvers for many years. And at the Tucson Gem Show of 2023, I finally made the connection which would lead to the realisation of this commitment. It took over a year of fighting at every turn to be able to work with them. Reaching them, finding the interpreter, and agreeing on how we would work. Finally, the real adventure began.

Once on Bali’s shores, it was time to channel the designs. It is a crucial part of my process - and to do this from the place where the magic happens.  A limited edition is all about magic: the stones that want to be worn, the talismans that want to be birthed, the healing they want to carry, the images they will share. I see myself as an artist more than a designer: a conduit for the stones, an energetic container for people ready to shift at an identity level through jewellery - not just wear it. Intention is everything.

The Designs

The Lotus: Growth from the Mud
As I tuned in, first came the Lotus. My mind’s eye vision. The lotus is sacred in Buddhism: the greater the mud, the greater the lotus bloom. You cannot have the bloom without the mud. I love this because it epitomises the healing journey: it honours the space required, respects the mud, and reminds us that transformation comes from the depths. The mud is a core component - think of it like composting. Our mud - being our pain and suffering - holds deep power in it. Quan Yin, the archetype of compassion, often had a lotus as her symbol. And boy, do we all need more compassion in our lives. Compassion is the bedrock of transformation.

Archangel Michael: The Archetype of Strength
Then Archangel Michael appeared. His sword cuts through the subtle, invisible mud we all carry - the ego, the “I’m not enough,” the cowardice that keeps us in our uncomfortable comfort zones. I chose just one wing - powerful, big, decisive.

Isis: Sovereignty and Command
Finally, Isis came through. Powerful. She and I dilly-dallied over her design because she’s a force - a queen, but not in a pop-star way. Sovereign. Commanding. Her energy guides us to connect with our own innate sovereignty and face the real challenge of transformation - and follow it through.

Jewellery as Alchemy

Throughout this process, I reflected on how my jewellery is born from the alchemy of my own journey. The symbols, the stones, the names, the design - these are not mere ornaments. They are prayers. Encoded with powerful symbols, stories, and the human journey of suffering and transmutation. I create what I’m healing, and offer it as medicine - as a living talisman for others.

The Frequency of the Stones

Chrysoprase

Gem hunts are a profound adventure where I let the stones come to me. I work on the basis that the stone that wants to work with you will call you. It’s a beautiful process which I support my clients with.

As I worked diligently with the Balinese Artisans, we learned which stones resonated with the designs at hand, which ones broke, and ultimately, which stones wanted to be carved and worn for a higher purpose. After many breakages and disappointments, Green Chrysoprase came through when I least expected it. And wow - when I looked her up, I couldn’t believe how perfectly her healing frequencies aligned with the collection.

Chrysoprase is a Heart & Solar Plexus Chakra stone. Known as the stone of promise. She brings light to the shadow self, offering hope and renewal. She reminds us that even in moments of darkness, we are never separate from Source. She glows with the pure Green Ray, the frequency of an awakened heart. Her luminous green speaks not just of renewal, but of our deep-rooted connection to nature and the Spirit of the Earth Mother. She helps us face the fear of adversity.

With Chrysoprase, courage becomes compassion, and truth becomes our compass. She activates the solar plexus, aligning personal will with the higher wisdom of the heart. Together, these centres merge, forging a powerful current of action led by the power of love.

Australian Black, Pink, and White Opal

Then the Australian black, pink, and white opals appeared - simply stunning. Each colour holds different healing frequencies, again, perfectly tuned to the purpose of the collection.

Black Opal is a Root & Crown Chakra stone. She bridges spiritual vision with grounded action. It amplifies emotions and intentions, making it a powerful ally for manifestation - especially when feelings are clear and aligned with your highest good. This stone brings buried memories and wounds to the surface for healing, helping you transform your pain into purpose. Black Opal urges you to set conscious, heart-aligned intentions and reminds you that your emotions are a creative force. It helps transmute painful energy into your most empowered self.

Remember how our ‘mud’ holds the greatest power? Black Opal will bring to the surface what needs to heal, what is asking to be transmuted into a powerful force for your manifestation. In fact, Black Opal is so powerful - as written in The Book of Stones - ‘be careful what you wish for!’. Quite often, we wish for external validation through money, success and a loving partner - Black Opal asks you to clear this debris first, and then call in aligned desires that will fulfil you on the deepest level - not just surface.

White Opal - All Chakras. White Opal is a powerful mirror - she meets you where you are and reflects what you’re ready to release. The more we surrender our grip on anger, fear, or old pain, the more gently she can work her magic. If we cling to our wounds, her medicine may feel fierce. Think of White Opal as a compassionate mother. Her love is deep and unwavering - sometimes soft, sometimes strong. Both are forms of compassion which lead to our healing. She invites you to say yes to transformation, yes to letting go, yes to becoming who you truly are beneath the layers. Once the purging is done, White Opal reveals her gifts: emotional renewal, heightened intuition, and a more loving connection to yourself and others. She doesn’t just cleanse - she clears the path for your light to rise.

Pink Opal - Heart Chakra stone. She holds similar healing frequencies to the white opal; however, because she is pink, she goes deeper into the heart space. Think of Quan Yin as a compassionate mother, perhaps if your heart is particularly tender, just like a mother having many children - tending to their needs differently - this pink opal lotus will tend to your heart in a way that’s perfectly aligned for you. Possibly more deeply and sensitively. The heart is our most powerful energetic chamber. In fact, the heart's magnetic field is 5,000 times more powerful than the brain's. This is your ultimate satnav for life! We must tend to and listen to our hearts deeply - for all we ever need to know resides in the all-knowing, all-powerful, chambers of our hearts.

Some pieces are rare bi-colour stones, pink and white, and pink, white and black! Absolutely stunning. Where one stone merges into another, think of this as an alchemical expression and integration of all of their healing frequencies birthed into one, just magical.

Science in the Woo-Woo: Understanding Energy, Frequency & Gemstone Resonance

We all have an electromagnetic frequency - our aura, the energetic space we hold. You know that feeling when you walk into a room and instantly sense whether someone feels good to be around… or not? That’s your energy field reading someone else's.

Your electromagnetic field is made up of:

  • Electric energy (your thoughts)
  • Magnetic energy (your emotions)

Your thoughts equal the electric current. Your feelings equal the magnetic pull. Together, they emit a frequency - your unique energetic signature.

You Can’t Hide Your Energy

You are always radiating information. What you’re thinking and feeling - about yourself, others, and life - becomes your vibration. This is how we create reality:

Positive thoughts + loving emotions = magnetic, aligned energy

Negative thoughts + fear or anger = chaotic, contracting energy

So What Does This Have to Do with Gemstones?

We are organic beings - constantly shifting, changing, in flux. Crystals are solid frequency holders. Their internal lattice (crystalline) structure means their vibration is locked in. According to physics, the weaker frequency naturally begins to align with the stronger, more stable one.

This means: When you wear or carry a crystal, your energy field begins to harmonise with its vibration.

Your Intuition - Your Electromagnetic Field - Chooses for You

Ever felt instantly drawn to a stone, only to read its meaning and be shocked by how accurate it feels? That’s not a coincidence - it’s frequency. The gemstone’s frequency is calling you.

It wants to work with you - it wants to balance your energy.

The Pineal Gland: Your Inner Crystal

You even have a crystal inside your brain - your pineal gland. It’s made of calcite crystals that interact with your inner and outer electromagnetic fields.

This little crystal is your connection to: Intuition, telepathy, “gut feelings”, inner-knowing. Think of a time you felt someone was about to call you… And they did. That’s frequency. That’s vibration. That’s you, tuned in.

We Are Frequency, Energy, and Vibration

The more consciously we tune into these powerful tools - within and without - the more aligned and magnetic we become. What you focus on and where your energy flows, so to will your reality grow.

The Creative Process

Hand-Carved and Charged with Intention

The whole collection was hand-carved in the carvers’ home, and I charged the stones under the new and full moons at the family temple. The challenges were enormous. Driving my scooter for hours - back and forth from my village to Ubud - weaving in and out of the traffic, trucks and rain! The carvers fell ill, week-long prayers delayed production, and stones constantly shattered, and we kept running out of material.

Trusting the Stones and the Process

As I grew with and trusted the creative process, I allowed the designs to emerge in their own time. I allowed the pieces to break and let the stones reveal themselves, letting me know which ones wanted to be carved and worn to serve their highest purpose. Like I mentioned before, I am more of a conduit for stones and how they want to be worn. They speak to me through design, colour and frequency.

Mirroring Personal Growth

Just like the creative process - of constant setbacks, disappointments and seemingly ‘dead-ends’ - so too was my personal journey, not only navigating the challenges of birthing this collection into form, but overcoming major challenges with my mental, emotional and physical health - it was a triple hat trick! Let me take you back to the beginning when I first landed on the shores of Bali.

Beneath ‘Eat, Pray, Love'

First Impressions of Bali
Every time someone asks me, “How was Bali?” I immediately say, “Like a low-dose ayahuasca.”
At first, I didn’t understand Bali - she’s layered, mysterious, paradoxical. I was on a four-month trip, and I didn’t have everything mapped out - I was literally following my nose as soon as I landed. It wasn’t until the third month that I found my little pocket of paradise - somewhere I could finally exhale and feel at home. And when I say paradise, I mean it - I have never seen such beauty. When you find your sweet spot, Bali is truly a pocket of tropical Heaven on Earth.

It takes time to cut through the Eat, Pray, Love noise - the masses who flock to the island seeking healing and an affordable, high-quality life.

Bali as a Mirror

But back to ayahuasca. If you’ve never drunk ayahuasca (a traditional Amazonian plant medicine) think of it as a mirror to the self. Often described as a journey into your subconscious, it’s a direct encounter with your shadow. It doesn’t sugarcoat - it reveals what you’ve hidden, ignored, or avoided. Emotions, memories, fears - all come up to be seen, felt, and released. Intense, confronting, and sometimes beautiful, it’s a catalyst for insight, healing, and transformation.

The Energy of the Island

The energy of Bali, for me, is undeniable. Her presence forces you to meet yourself, whether you’re ready or not. She is a volcanic island, part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, with over a dozen active volcanoes, including Mount Agung - sacred and deeply spiritual to the Balinese. Volcanoes embody power, intensity, and molten transformation. They bring heat and pressure - the perfect natural metaphor for the personal and spiritual change I experienced there. Bali radiates what I would describe as Scorpio energy: deep, intense, and profoundly transformative.

The Bali Break: Transformation in Motion – Meeting the Shadow

Bali Breaks You Open

In fact, there’s a phrase - the ‘Bali break’. People arrive engaged, honeymooning, and sometimes leave divorced. Bali breaks you open. It's intense, transformative energy illuminates every crack you thought you’d hidden. It’s a spiritual root canal. You arrive as a caterpillar and leave as a butterfly. Or, not.

Creativity as Healing

I love transformation - but wow, I wasn’t expecting it to hit me in the first week. My creativity is deeply connected to my healing journey and my Buddhist practice. My work is an expression of internal struggle, alchemised into personal power, value, and beauty. Rather than display perfection, I feel drawn to reveal and honour the journey - the process of turning something deeply personal into something transformative.

The Buddhist Way: Poison into Medicine
This is also the way of life for a practising Buddhist. Every part of our suffering holds value. There’s a profound principle about turning poison into medicine: without the poison, there can be no medicine. Everything in life contributes to our greatest growth, happiness, and purpose.

Guiding Others Through Transformation

Through unveiling another layer of pain and trauma, I reveal another layer of my true self - and this is what I impart to my clients: freedom, encouragement, inspiration. The mud, the poison, the struggles - this is often where their greatest potential for transformation lies. And my talismanic pieces of jewellery serve as reminders: they have the power within them to alchemise their own pain into beauty.

When the Ground Beneath You Moves

As a practising Nichiren Buddhist for 23 years and a holistic NLP coach - I’m not shy of showing up and doing the work - but I was taken aback. The moment I arrived, I was immediately faced with my wounded child, healing a deep layer of trauma, poor physical health, and a flood of self-doubt about whether I should have even come. I felt out of my depth.

I was navigating early menopause (trauma-induced) and adjusting to new medication. This wasn’t the fun I’d expected - the ground beneath me wasn’t solid. But my intuition roared: Stay. I was chasing a lifelong dream - to work alongside Balinese artisans and carve my first-ever stone collection for 2025. Not just a gem hunt, but the first time I would work directly with local carvers on hand-cut pieces from the rough. My last gem hunt had been just before COVID, in India in 2020.

Cocktails in the Rain

My best friend joined me for the first five weeks. We did all the things - ticked every “Bali box.” We landed in Ubud during the worst rainy season in history - rain that gave my hot flushes a run for their money!

Classic Brits - we didn’t care. We just drank our cocktails in the rain and were grateful it was warm. We fled to Seminyak for fun and Negronis, and ended up in Mexicola - my spiritual home, a wild Aussie mashup of line dancing and tequila chaos. I felt like a backpacker Down Under - fully regressed to my teens, drenched and drunken on a taxi-bike home, singing Bonnie Tyler like I was on X-Factor. Tick.

We shopped like maniacs - Suzy bought a large new suitcase and still couldn’t fit it all in (her house now looks like a Balanese tourist shop). Tick. Ate every gluten-free dessert in sight - obviously doubled the quantity because, well, gluten-free. Tick. We hiked rice fields and jammed on the flute of a local farmer, and saw a Balinese healer - the living embodiment of Aya. I felt like I was being hung, drawn, and quartered, needed a week to recover, and when we messaged to ask, “Is this normal?” she replied, “Yes - you just had spiritual surgery, what do you expect?” Tick.

On my birthday, we rinsed the beach clubs and finally washed up on Gili Air - no cars, just horses and carts, and a whole lot of stillness… and gin and tonic. Tick. When you hit the Indonesian islands and actually finally stop, you realise how trapped we are in the West - always doing, running, cramming daily to-do lists. We are never being. Almost subconsciously avoiding that haunting question: What am I here for? Answer: simple - to be.

Perseverance in the Void

Confronting the Wounded Child

When Suzy left, I felt vulnerable. I hate the phrase “inner child” - it sounds so cliché - but that’s exactly what I was confronting: another layer of deep, necessary healing.
The wounded child. Not fun. And the timing! Alone, on the other side of the world, with no sense of home, I actually felt frightened. I was unravelling another layer without my say-so. It was just happening. I thought, “How many layers?!” I felt like those wooden dolls within dolls within dolls - a bonafide 'Princess Layer'. I turned to my Buddhist practice. I chanted and chanted and chanted.

Surrendering to the Darkness - Acceptance
Eventually, I started to surrender to and accept the deep suffering I was going through. Healing isn’t easy. It’s portrayed (particularly in the West) as all love and light. No. That is not it. Think of the caterpillar before it becomes the butterfly, the ugly duckling before it becomes the swan - the snake - before it sheds its new skin - it goes blind! Well. That’s what healing is like. Dark, messy and scary. Like I said before, I am no stranger to this work or way of life spiritually. However, it doesn't make it easier!

Finally, I started to tune into the gift, the learning, the lessons. And ironically, suffering doesn’t have to be a struggle. I had to stop fighting it. Be with the discomfort. Allow it. Trust it. Give it a seat at the table.

I’ve become a connoisseur of healing trauma. Struggling with it - and especially identifying with it - is as futile as thrashing in a current; you’ll only get cramp and drown. But if you surrender - if you go flaccid and let the current take you - eventually, you’ll find yourself washed up on shore, stronger and still alive.
It’s all about deepening acceptance - acceptance of the struggle and the pain you’re in, acceptance of yourself while you’re in it - and yes, acceptance that flaccid really is the best word for this moment.

Unravelling to reveal wholeness
Coming from childhood trauma (and a lot of beauty, nothing is all bad), I had been wired to struggle, suffer and survive. But this time, I was ready to live. I realised I had identified with the trauma - I couldn't see who I was - before anything ever happened to me. This was a deeply challenging and terrifying process, but in moments, extraordinary. Having pockets - 'glimmers' - of who I really am, not the dark mess of brokenness and pain that others had inflicted upon me as a kid - just me, Rosie. Beautiful, wonderful Rosie with a lot of love and light to offer the world. And that’s all of us.

At the age of 45, to be here now, finally emerging as my true self, is nothing short of extraordinary. Decades of unravelling who I am NOT have led me to these moments of 'glimmers'.

This is the process of healing. Healing means to be whole. We are always whole; the irony is, is that nothing was ever wrong with us - but we lose ourselves along the way. And unless we make the efforts to unravel the broken mess that isn’t truly us, we can never come home to ourselves and reveal our truest potential or happiness. We will always remain a product of what happened to us, rather than pioneers for change.

Life is a Teacher

Alongside Bali, I leaned on years of inner work - therapy, spiritual practice, and confronting myself honestly. Together, it helped me unravel the wires still tangled in my nervous system, rewiring deeply ingrained self-sabotage patterns in my subconscious.
Bali didn’t hold back in assisting me to meet all that no longer belonged. She showed me every fear-based wire I was still tangled in. Where my nervous system truly was. The subconscious became conscious. And wow, it was loud. Painful and scary - but necessary for my evolution. There’s nothing more surreal than suffering in paradise. I was living in a simulation of my own internal negativity - in Eden.

But I stayed. I surfed. I cried. I created. And I persevered. We all know that the universe rewards the brave. And I know too well that happiness is found in becoming stronger internally, each year - a painful and challenging process, but healing is growing. And growth always brings growing pains. Remember them as a kid? My nervous system - once fossilised in trauma - was beginning to thaw.

Healing through Transformation

My body was releasing years of pain - right down to where I stored it as a kid. I knew nothing better than to take on other people's brokenness as my own - as my identity. Like ayahuasca, the healing came in stages:
Hospital - “I’m dying!”
University - “Oh, I’m learning…”
Temple - “Ah, I am awakening...”

Shedding Layers to Heal

When you are healing, you’re purifying. The old version and old identity of you is dying - it is literally falling away, so the real version of you can emerge. Healing is shedding layers of what doesn’t belong. There are no shortcuts. You have to feel it to heal it.

Just like the snake, as it sheds its old skin, it temporarily goes blind. In that void, the snake is revealing the new - but it cannot see it, yet. That is transformation. This is healing. It is scary, it is dark - a voyage into the unknown.

It’s not all “love and light” - like so much of Bali and the rest of the world pretends to be.

777 Whispers from the Unseen

Seven pieces of each design were birthed from a journey of healing and transformation, using the power of human experience, symbols, and gemstone frequencies. I named the collection Guardian Whisperers - 777 Whispers from the Unseen because it is a niche jewellery collection expressing the journey through trauma, and how, by healing, we come closer to home - within ourselves.

We all carry pain. We all have wounds. We have all experienced trauma, however small or large. And we have all experienced how trauma can disconnect us from our true selves.

777 symbolises divine guidance - the stones, their healing frequencies, designs, and intentions are perfectly aligned to assist you along your journey of remembrance. You were always whole. You just needed to remember.

A Portal Back to Your Higher Self

This collection became art in its highest form: a portal back to your most pure self, You. Just like the snake goes blind while shedding its skin, we too must travel the unknown. The void is uncomfortable - but from that stillness, the new self emerges.

Heal the wounds that hold you back. Align with your highest calling. Transform your personal story into a powerful narrative of growth. Remember - your mud and poison hold the seeds of your greatest growth. Without the mud, the lotus cannot rise; without the poison, healing cannot take root.

Every stone carries a whisper - a vibration of your true Self, a message for your soul, ready to listen.

Guardian Whisperers isn’t just a collection - it’s a living prayer.

Each piece is designed to remind you of your strength, to hold you through your own shedding, and to awaken the part of you that already knows the way home.

May these talismans be your companions through transformation - guiding you gently back to the wholeness that has always lived within.

Adorn Your Rebirth

Each pendant is bespoke, one-of-a-kind, and part of a limited-edition collection. We will design the pendant setting and chain together, creating a piece that is truly yours.
