Well, well, well. What a Sunday that was!
Smashed the Athens Marathon with a 3:58.12 second finish. My first and last marathon. Athens has been served by a Diamantopoulo. You are welcome, Athens.
I am super proud and happy. Worth the gruelling four month training and sacrifice. Two toenails were lost but worth the almighty feat and the silly massive medal.
Anyone who says the Athens Marathon is ‘hilly’, are lying. It’s a 22k mountain - non-stop, full of hills. A lot of vocal swearing on my part, jogger's Tourette's. No surprises there.
Tender is an amazing charity educating kids in schools about domestic abuse and sexual violence.
Both myself and Xeni have suffered this nonsense and the long-term effects, and quite frankly it is time for huge social change. And what better way than to educate the youth? The future consciousness of our society.
Statistically, kids between the ages of 16 and 24 are the most vulnerable and likely to be involved in an abusive and violent relationship. A close topic to my heart, I feel that kids are the future and through tackling this difficult issue through educating young people, we can therefore empower the youth to create a better and healthier society and culture where respecting the dignity of their own lives and the lives of others is held in the highest regard.

Our goal was to £4,400. And we did it! This money will pay for two workshops in two schools, sparking Tender in schools across the South of England, tick.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, truly grateful for your money which is supporting us, and supporting social change on this much needed and prevalent issue.
FYI - I wrote my post marathon blog in the bath, I had to float - and then I drank a vast amount of gin. To be honest, gin was the first thing I drank after the finish line. That was my request. Thank you Sean and Emily for making that happen.
Much love you lovely lot !
See you in the UK 🇬🇧
